CONCEPT:

It is strictly a performance video that will be shot in a cinematic fashion. The feeling of this song suggests a positive yet emotional mood which will be emphasized throughout the video with the use of lighting as well as shot composition. The most important part of this concept however will be the use of visuals. Using certain tools during post-production we plan to create certain visual effects that we can work into certain parts of this video to add a sort of dream like feel to the performance sequence. To describe this further, we intend to create “light beam” animations and work them into your performance. Rather than just shooting the entire video and throwing a bunch of effects over it however we will shoot everything with these light beams in mind so that they appear natural when we make them. These beams will not be present the entire video; we will use them very sparingly in the verses and first two choruses. This way the audience will see them and start to think about where they’re coming from or what their purpose is, therefore keeping them hooked. After the second chorus, going into the bridge we will see the lights “growing” until the bridge kicks in completely and these lights seem to be almost taking over the setting. At this point the lights will be designed to emphasize the intensity and emotion of this point in the song. During the last chorus/outro of the song the lights will work their way out of the setting until the end of the song when the band is left by themselves in what now seems to be a perfectly normal setting. To get an idea of what we mean by light beams look up [Northern Lights].
